Bring the National Book Festival to Your Branch!

The Library of Congress wants this year’s festival to truly be a National Book Festival (NBF) —and would love your help in making this happen in our state. As a state affiliate of the Library of Congress Center for the Book, the Washington Center for the Book has access to a list of participating authors that is not yet public. This list can be used, for planning purposes only, by libraries who would like to plan NBF programming in their branches. Events might include watch parties, community conversations, story walks, poetry slams, book club meetings, and more.

If you are interested in hosting an NBF program at your branch, please email Sara Peté, [email protected], and Linda Johns, [email protected], co-managers of the Washington Center for the Book to get access to the list of authors and to discuss your program idea.

Act now, as program ideas must be submitted to the Library of Congress by Wednesday, August 25.
