Ben Clanton's book “Narwhal: Unicorn of the Sea” won the award for Books for Young Readers (ages 6 to 8).
M.J. Beaufrand's book “Useless Bay” won the award for Books for Young Adults (ages 13 and up).

Steve Olson 's book “Eruption: The Untold Story of Mount St. Helens” won the award for History/General Nonfiction.
Tara Hardy's book “My, My, My, My, My” won the award for Poetry.
“Some Kind of Courage” by Dan Gemeinhart won the award for Books for Middle Readers (ages 8 to 12).
Sherman Alexie's "Thunder Boy Jr." won the Picture Book award.
“An Earlier Life” by Brenda Miller won the award for Biography/Memoir.
